The parishes of St. Thomas’ and St. Luke’s will hold a joint service on Sunday, July 30, starting at 10:30am to be held at St. Luke’s at 1514 15th Street, NW (at P Street). The Rev. David Wolf, director of Samaritan Ministry will preach, and the Rev. Alex Dyer will be the celebrant.
Both churches are active in supporting the work of Samaritan Ministry — St. Thomas’ annual Strawberry Shortcake Social provides an opportunity for parishioners and friends to learn about the work of Samaritan Ministry and make a financial contribution during the event. St. Luke’s is doing a summer toiletries drive for participants of Samaritan Ministry, and St. Thomas’ parishioners are inviting to bring toiletries for both men and women on July 30.
Rev. Wolf will preach at the 7, 9 and 10:30am services at St. Luke’s and will join the weekly breakfast from 8-9am which includes friends of St. Luke’s, for a question and answer session.
